E’s description of the above house drawing: her top floor window shows the blinds down, but open, the second floor windows are dark because we, the parents, are in bed asleep. The first floor has lights on because she is still awake and playing downstairs. She moved our side (front) entry to the actual front of the house – that’s the door and stairs in the middle – because she said the side door is confusing. It’s fall because the trees are changing colors, the pink tree doesn’t ever change colors. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the only thing out of place are the added windows (four in total) above the first floor.
There’s a simple explanation: “Those are the new guest bedrooms that I added because it gets a little crowded when everyone comes to visit us.”
Now there’s a concept worth developing – the house that expands to fit as required.
