Late last night I shot these pictures after getting the room to a point where M’s mom can enjoy it this weekend. There are still some things left to do – install quarter round at the baseboards, purchase and install the light fixtures, finish the cabinet shelves and install the doors, install the salvaged window in the opening over the stair…but it’s well on its way! The couch was a purchase from DWR during their upholstery sale, and it makes a king size bed when pulled out completely, or if the bolster is tilted backwards it’s an extra long twin – a good solution for this third floor sometime guest room. The pillow was a find on a trip to see family a few weekends back. Can’t wait to lounge and start reading…
K. I love your blog. Little E. is such a beautiful (and talanted) child. I hope you can keep up recording your life and that of your family for the sake of posterity. What a wonderful gift for E. to have when she becomes an adult. Not many children have such an in-debth view of thier childhood. Keep up the good work.
