saturday morning at the garden
New sculptures are being installed for this exhibit – it was pretty fun watching the installation of some of these. Things are finally waking up around here – daffodils, magnolia blossoms, a few brave tulips. There was a bit of a scavenger hunt set up this morning so we did a little sleuthing as we meandered around the old haunts for awhile. Progress was checked on the maze reconstruction and a few quick laps were made with the raccoons. The fish seemed to have survived the long winter and were eager for treats. And after the food was all thrown we leaned ourselves back on a fence post, stretched our limbs out on the warm wooden planks and soaked up the sunshine for half an hour at least, not talking, not moving, just watching and warming. Revelling in the take-your-breath-away white blossoms popping against a brilliant blue sky. And a sparkly basketball statue was a reminder of the fun we have in store tonight – cozied up on the couch with some kettle corn for some good games. Our own kind of March madness that festered in the dampness and cold is being replaced by something, finally, resembling this season that we love so much. Welcome, welcome! Stick around awhile!
