I spent a most enjoyable Saturday with the family and my parents doing two of my very favorite things – strolling around the garden and then snooping through people’s old houses and new gardens. And despite the fact that I was hauling around my eight month pregnant belly, it was a really nice day. (Even though I fell asleep mid sentence when I sat down for a moment back at home, and waddled around for the rest of the evening.) The three of us went back over to the park today to take advantage of the free carriage rides and walk through the garden for a few moments. This is the neighborhood and the park where I do most of my walking (a few blocks from our own neighborhood) and it’s always fun to peek inside some of the homes that I walk past every day.

Those pics need a couple of captions: E with horse – that is as close as she would get to the horse, and even at that distance she was noticably uncomfortable. E at pond – she is sizing up the pond she wants me to put in the back yard (only in her words ours will be “about 30% smaller”). -dad
I didn’t hear that conversation about the backyard pond, but I can tell in the photo that she’s in her “planning” mode. This morning she had ideas for a central fountain with lights. -mom
