This is a what a week at the lake with your grandparents looks like – a serious case of the yellow’s. This brown bear is back from her high adventures sporting some sun streaked hair, a new chestnut skin tone and some seriously yellow shoes. The shoes she’s wanted for sooo very long, but her ornery parents never bought her. That’s what grandparents are for…
After I took her picture, she asked if she could photograph her new shoes up close. So here they are. No one’s going to lose her in a crowd.
So our family unit of three is restored, the husband is back from retrieving the daughter, and all of my solid efforts at slowing things down and keeping the baby inside have fallen by the wayside. We have exciting bursts of potential (particularly in the wee hours of the morning) that involve watching the clock, pacing the floor and writing down times – one of those occuring on a night when no one was back from the lake yet! And then we have lulls in the action that last for several hours and convince us we’ve got a little bit longer. Most of our ducks are in a row around here so we’re good to go anytime now. Are you listening kiddo? Anytime…
AP looked at E and said, “Can’t wait to get that one!” How funny! We can’t wait to be passing on girl or boy stuff on really soon! Call us as soon as you know something!
I love you, E. I can’t wait until you get back from the lake and I see you after the beach.
