Here are some shots of the wall in F’s nursery that we’ve painted with magnetic paint (many, many coats). The regular wall paint will go over this sometime this weekend, so you’ll never know that the black metallic base coat is even there. Well, unless of course you walk a little too closely with your magnetic pants on and suddenly find yourself attached to the wall. A few test magnets were tried out and rearranged about a billion times. Next stop – the hallway. We blew through the quart on this wall because you have to put so many coats on. So we’ve ordered a gallon for the hallway. It’s too bad that the children will have to forgo their college education as a result of this paint that must include platinum in it…but at least they will be really great at sticking things onto walls.
We have some magnetic sheets for the laser printer and we’re going to scan and print out some characters from our favorite books, photos of family and friends to cut up and rearrange heads and bodies and stuff, architectural shapes, and of course – cars and roads – probably a parking lot stripe or two. If you ever see cool magnets somewhere let us know. Cheap, cool magnets of course. We blew the wad on the paint, remember?
