Plumbing.
Shutoff valves moved and recessed into the wall, hook-ups relocated, and the related reframing required.
Closed back up again after leak-checking.
Parts for part number two – venting and part number three – electrical, but not the right parts for part number four – installation. (The stacking ket that was sent wasn’t the right one.) We’re hoping for home clean clothes by Easter…
So, lets be honest. I know we told a lot of people that we had planned for a stackable W/D and we would just pull out the upper cabinet cut the counter and slide the new units in. And taking the cabinet down and cutting the counter was the easy part, and had I thought further ahead (i.e. installing a dryer vent and actually recessing the shut off valve higher on the wall) it could have been that easy. What can I say, I like to make small jobs turn into big jobs…its a sickness I’m sure.
