Saturday night capped off a great day… the orchestra (the older strings players) at E’s school performed with their instructor’s band at a local venue, and the kids (and the band) sounded great. E was on cloud nine watching them play, and is convinced that her teacher is surely going to let second graders join in next year. Whether they do or not, it’s been great practice incentive around here.
Enjoy some shots from the night. They performed in a big, black box so the photos are pretty high contrast, but they sounded terrific and were a lot of fun to watch. The other band members were good sports as well, complimenting the group on their “fiddle” playing.
