even the title well has run dry

The past few days have been the kind of days where nothing quite gets done. Work is busy for both of us, and our evenings are just as busy. By the end of the day my focus and my drive is depleted and I start a lot of things, but finish few of them. “I have nothing to blog about,” I tell my husband. My sister turned four-years-younger-than-me yesterday, E’s first baseball game is tonight, I went to a great lecture last night… things are happening but I just can’t seem to find the words or images to share about them. Luckily M took a few shots of the girls the other morning while I was out walking and there are some really cute ones. We’re having a professional photo shoot this Saturday, and I’m excited again to turn the camera over to someone who actually knows what they are doing. But it is nice to have these photos – almost daily – of life as it occurs, unplanned, unposed, half-finished and sometimes half-focused (not yours, dear – mine). So enjoy the shots of the girls in stripes, and I’ll try to get my act together around here.

Welcome.

This is a blog about an old house with a new life (and all the lives within it). There are plenty of stories to tell.
