Oh my, I was behind. Behind on anything and everything that would find an excuse to reside on my desk. Last night I made good headway into the piles – stacks of papers, artwork and notes to be scanned, projects to wrap up or get started. One pile that is particularly large is the kid art / kid writing. I try to scan the ones that I really like and not save them all. But I save a lot of them. They’re just really difficult to throw into the recycling bin. And sometimes they get spotted there and that’s not a good thing either.
Since I was on the subject of E’s poem writing, here’s the one she gave me on (the actual) Mother’s Day. You read it from the bottom up. And in case you can’t read the image, here are the words.
The day we pray,
Mother’s Day,
The happy day of your life.
The day that you smile when you smell like choclate (chocolate)
Your dreams come true,
When your heart starts ponding (pounding)
And you fall in love
And find it again.
Love is true
love.
Oh yeah, that’s a keeper.
…..
And…on the subject of mothers…happy birthday to mine – today!
