blues and hoops

Posted on June 4, 2010 by thirdstoryies

Last night we started what we hope will become a summer tradition of hanging out with friends in the front yard listening to the blues band across the street.  The deli stays open til 8 on Thursday evenings and the people spill out of that place onto the sidewalks and curbs and listen to the music and visit.  Last weekend we started some maintenance on our front fence and pulled out ten years worth of ivy growth.  We’re redoing the landscaping out here in the hopes that we’ll end up with a nice space to gather, listen to music and roast a few marshmallows.  If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s a standing invitation, hula hoop-ing is optional…
…..
I’ll post progress photos of the front yard starting tomorrow so you can see what’s going on.

Those are awesome pictures. So natural…I love the adorable pictures of Frances as well. Can’t wait to finally see the girls. It has been to long.

Welcome.

This is a blog about an old house with a new life (and all the lives within it). There are plenty of stories to tell.
