Weekend before last we journeyed up the river a bit to meet up with friends and do a little boating and catching up. The trip was a little ill-timed – early Friday morning the area received nine inches of rain which left access to the boat blocked, and a swirling river at the top of its banks. So instead we stayed indoors and played a bit in waters that never overflow, and did a lot of that catching up. The kids had a blast, as they always do, staying up late past bedtimes and camping out together on living room floors. The grownups stayed up way past our own bedtimes, making the drive home and the following week a bit tougher, but no one around here was complaining much about the need for an extra cup of coffee in the mornings. I didn’t do a very good job of capturing all the attendees – but here’s a sampling of a few – the kind that wander in front of the camera when I happen to have it out. Sounds like we’ll be meeting up again next summer at a twentieth reunion, reminiscing about just how young we were at the tenth.
