pause

Posted on October 14, 2010 by thirdstoryies
Life has become a bit complicated as of late.  Lots of late hours working, and lots more juggling.  I’m finding the need to take a bit of a break from this space for a few days.  (Need further evidence than the time below that I’m posting this?  And it’s not that long after having returned home from a marathon day, evening and night at work.)  Ugh.
So while this is a place that I like to come to, to think about my day, or my week, to look at those moments from a particular space and time – I like even more the occasional night’s rest.  And as relaxing and restorative as this might be, I need the stronger version that requires me horizontal in a bed somewhere.  So I’ll unplug a bit and return refreshed.
I might (if I feel so inclined) do a bit of archiving cleanup on this blog.  My sister called today in the midst of the work crunch and was wondering where a particular photo was that she was sure I had posted on this blog.  She had checked various categories, I told  her a few keywords to search (have you noticed that handy dandy search area in the sidebar?) but nothing was working.  I looked some more tonight, but no luck.  So in my absence, you might want to hunt for that elusive photo showing my second floor stair hall and the black and white photo collage there.  My best guess is that I did it sometime in 2008, but who knows?  It’s lurking somewhere in the last 950 posts.
Or I might not, and just sleep.
She’ll love me regardless, right?
…..
Am also pondering a few new categories for this space, and hoping to get a bit of back and forth dialogue going between all of us.  I know you’re out there, and I’d like to hear you.  So would E.  “Did anyone love my brand new fish?!”
And lastly, I promise I’ll post a few of my favorite “old posts”.  I thought about doing this to mark 1000, but I think I’ll do it now while on hiatus.
…..
So let’s meet back here in a few days, shall we?  A bit more rested, and a lot more relaxed.
…..
Update:
So I post the above and start to shut down the computer.  And then I think to myself, where is that darn photo?  Maybe I should search “photo collage”.  So I type it into the search box (it’s right below the books in the side bar) and get one result for the blog – Yeah!

And then I read it.  Go ahead, try it out.

Thanks for trying to search for it. A friend wanted me to look through her pictures and help her with her arrangements of photos. She was contemplating black vs. white frames, and I wanted to show her your wall. Take a picture of the wall, and send it to my phone if you get a chance.

Silly BlackBerry makes it difficult to comment on your sweet blog…but I do read and keep abreast of all your happenings! Pause all you want but do come back soon…I miss you! 🙂
