I’d have to say that this year we didn’t earn too many bonus points for original costumes. E wanted to be a witch, and the only detail she really agonized over was whether she was more of a wand kind of witch, or a broom kind of witch. In the end, she carried both, which isn’t entirely true. Her parents carried both, while she carried the loot bag. This Halloween was a bit anti-climatic as well. The baby ended up with a fever on Sunday afternoon, so I took E over to church for a quick jaunt through our trunk-or-treat, and then M took her to meet up with a friend for the real deal. At least the sock monkey got to strut her stuff earlier in the weekend, and we plan on wearing that sweater and hat a lot more this winter. And who were we kidding anyway? She rarely makes it up past six anyway.
Below is the witch costume over the soccer uniform – Sunday was a jam-packed day!
One thing the little one did enjoy was the tallying of the loot this afternoon. Thank goodness we didn’t have twice this much.
