LWOB

This was the conversation I had in the car after removing F from a bowling alley last Friday night because she was running around it, delirious from being up so long past her bedtime.  I thought in the quiet of her car seat she might give it up and fall asleep while I sat in the front seat staring at the neon lights in the rearview mirror.

F:  Drive-uh de cah, Mommy.

Me:  Honey, I’m not going to drive the car right now, we’re waiting on Daddy and Sissy to come out.
F:  Drive-uh de cah, Mommy.
Me:  Remember, we’re waiting on Daddy and Sissy to come out.
F:  Drive-uh de cah, Mommy.
Me: Sweetie, do you remember who we’re waiting on to come out?
F:  Drive-uh de cah, Mommy.
Me:  Not until Daddy and Sissy come out.
Repeat above two lines, oh, about four hundred more times.

F:  Drive-uh de CAH, MOMMY.
Me:  I LOST THE KEYS, OK?
Blissful, blissful silence.
F:  Wheh are de keys, Mommy?

Not as blissful silence.

F:  Wheh are de keys, Mommy?

Good times.
