We started off this Friday morning with our newest favorite find. Rosemary bagels from Bittersweet. These are hands down the best bagels that I have ever put in my mouth. I am not exaggerating one bit. For a couple of years now I’ve overlooked those misshapen, kind of odd looking, obviously scratch made bagels for the other, richer goodies. And then after reading a write up in a local food magazine about them we gave them a shot. No kidding. Our favorite find, and right in our own backyard. Toast it, slather it with their homemade herbed cream cheese, or go plain cream cheese with their strawberry preserves. If you live around here I suggest you find one of these on your plate very soon.
After our bagels and a quick meeting at school, we found ourselves bee watching. The watching was plentiful.
We found leaves, and red doors…
… we found our feet were made best for running…
…we found our pockets, and more leaves…
…and we found that empty greenhouses have the best acoustics for singing.
Then we found our fabric for feathers,
some felted treasures,
and one step closer to a holiday card prototype.
I hope you found your feet (or your voice) this Friday, and are enjoying this fabulous weather as much as we are. If you found something good, do share.
(And if you find some of those bagels, tell us how much you loved them!) Happy Friday.
I found my feet and my voice today – a saunter into the park before the pre-fast (Yom Kippur) meal, and singing at services amongst friends.
One of the most spiritual nights/services of the year – our Rabbi plays Taps on the shofar (ram’s horn) and it is very moving.
