Saturday morning was chilly and we really had nowhere we needed to be so we stayed in. I had some vague ideas about cleaning the house, and when I have those I generally start at the top. I’m not very good at following through, so if you ever visit, that explains why the top floor is always the cleanest floor.
I picked up a few things from the shelves and noticed how dusty everything was. It’s been a pretty mild winter, but the furnace has gotten more of a workout in the last week or so and I can tell it in the general dust levels in the house. I told the girls to play in the middle of the room and I watched them dress up, grabbing my camera after just a few moments. I started around the perimeter of the room, picking up objects and dusting around them, straightening, sorting and stashing. Since I had my camera right there I started taking photos of the little details of F’s room that I enjoy so much. For some reason that made the act of dusting it all a little better. From top to bottom, counter clockwise around the room I moved, while the girls giggled and transformed themselves and then pretended to sleep in the middle. If you are located somewhere in the middle of the country you are probably looking out the window at gray skies and falling snow this afternoon. Here’s a little color injection into the day.
There are tons of pictures and I’m home working with a sick kid today, so I’m just going to let them upload and get back to work and not spend the time linking to every source. If you want the source information for anything, drop me a note in the comments and I’ll check back a little later on today. Okay, matey?
