This was probably the last week for tulips – but they have been gorgeous. I’m used to prime time tulip time over my birthday (which is on Easter this year), but this year we’re well ahead of schedule. I think we’ve had more days above 75 degrees than under it in the month of March. At this rate we’ll all be roasting in May.
We’re loving the color though – the tulips above were my favorite – they change from pink to coral to orange to lilac depending upon your angle. E’s favorites were the parrot tulips below, and F’s discovery of a lone purple and white striped tulip (two down) elicited delighted squeals. The cactus might have been F’s favorite (mostly because it freaked her sister out whenever she got extra close).
Watch out tulips – the irises are on your heels.
