This has to rank up there as one of the cutest things EVER. Our friend made this for F for her birthday and dropped it off at the house last night. It’s a socktapus. Look at those big eyes. And that bow. And that crooked smile. (Hey wait – that sounds like our F!)
And those socks, of course. Can you stand the cuteness? Each sock height is different and each pair of socks has opposite colors. All those little socks and heels. It is seriously so, so cute.
It was seriously such a big hit as well. She was a little shy when she opened it, but she didn’t let go of it the rest of the night, and I found her like this many hours later – socktapus eye staring out from her hand. She was still holding it this morning and at breakfast, and it was the first thing she grabbed when she came home. What a treat.
J said this took a long time, and I believe it. But still, I wish she could crank these out left and right. I’d love to see a whole shelf of them on display somewhere. They would be snatched up in a heartbeat. Oh, it’s so nice to have talented friends (and knitters).
