I didn’t get the camera out very much this weekend – we were far too busy – but it’s Sunday afternoon now and we’re about to settle into naps and books and a little bit of planning for the week ahead. My parents came to visit and play with the girls – and we tackled one of our family to-do’s – getting family portraits made – as well.
Saturday was a really beautiful day – the sun came in and out, and there was just enough of a breeze to keep it from feeling too hot and muggy. The fall colors have really been turning on lately, and we met our photographer over at Lafayette Square that evening. We managed to dodge quite a few wedding parties, some family and engagement photographers, and find a nice open spot with great color and good light. It was low key, low stress and a lot of fun. I’m really glad we did it, and I’m glad the rain held off until later that night.
If you’re local I’d recommend giving Yvonne at Yvonne Niemann Photography a call. She’s very easy to work with and the girls loved her. She’s a master with the light – and it shows in her portfolio. You can check out a sneak peak of us right here.
Now, back to that nap idea…
