Not really blue, although it is late, and I’m a little computer weary at the moment. I’m cranking on addition drawings, and M just wrapped up a second coat on this first wall. We are testing the sheen to make sure we like it before painting the entire room. It’s still wet, which is why there are lighter, shinier areas, but the color is so good. I’m really excited. Can’t wait to see it in the daylight. It’s really going to transform the room. We should have the room back together in a few weeks – still a lot of painting left to do, some lighting switchouts (requiring an adapter or some switching out of a junction box, because nothing is easy), replacement of the tub and sink faucets – not for style, but because both are shot, painting the underside of the claw foot tub (not fun), oiling / sealing / installing 30 wooden pegs, switching out the switches to paintable ones, and lots of tiny finishing details, like finding or making a mirror. So, the next time I post something on this room, it will be the real deal. I can’t wait.
This is a blog about an old house with a new life (and all the lives within it). There are plenty of stories to tell.
