I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t feel much like Fall around here. We’ve had a string of ninety degree days, and if you were able to ignore Oktoberfest happening on the other end of your neighborhood (then lucky you!) you might think it was the last week of August around here. So I thought we might Fall it up a bit in the kitchen. Which leads me to another issue entirely. Food Photography. I’m not trying to add that to my resume, but it’s not easy. No matter how you shoot it, it never really looks that appetizing. I think I’m going to do a little research, and make it a challenge to myself to do it better. With the exception of the raspberry sorbet, most of my food shots aren’t so great. Maybe the difference was natural light, but (another sign of Fall) that’s waning.
Dish above and below. Spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs and mushrooms and wilted greens. Recipe from a friend, and a definite repeat. (We used veggie meatballs as well as the turkey ones.) Drop me a recipe request in the comments if you’d like the recipe.
I do know that pumpkins on the head are not the most appetizing...
…but photography aside, these caramel apples are most assuredly appetizing. And sticky.
