Thinking about starting a new category – “friday finds”. My budget won’t allow for them to always be bought things (which is a good thing), so they might just consist of a new park slide or an out of the way coffee shop. A little something to celebrate the Fridays that F and I have together, just like I did with E. Today we slid down slides for an hour and a half, and then walked around the corner from the park to two newer shops in the neighborhood. In the first we found this baby gift (above), a set of handmade burpies like the ones that C and J made for the baby. She adores them, and now will not go to sleep without them. I thought these were particularly cute fabrics, and dyeing the cloth diapers first makes them extra cute. Below is part of our stash from a tiny little candy store right next to the park. How could I resist those colors – my favorite? F just looked around with a slightly miffed expression, strapped into her stroller in a room full of off-limits. Soon enough, little one. This place might be my new favorite birthday party present go-to. Everybody likes a little candy, right? We also got a bag of the most beautiful gummy butterflies for E in shades I’ve not seen before like aqua and lavender. They didn’t photograph as well, but I guarantee you they’ll taste as good. So there you have it, the first friday finds. Where did you find yourself this Friday?
