Saturday night capped off a great day… the orchestra (the older strings players) at E’s school performed with their instructor’s band at a local venue, and the kids (and the band) sounded great. E was on cloud nine watching them play, and is convinced that her teacher is surely going to let second graders join…

The baby loves playing with these blocks. She had a few to herself and she is even starting to stack one on top of another. She gets particularly delighted when she finds the open side. Wait – who’s that we hear? The big one, coming to join us from her playmobil lair down the hall….

One good thing about blowing out another candle is having a house full of flowers for a few weeks. And of course, having a birthday at this time of the year means a neighborhood full of them too. Man, it’s gorgeous out there.
