These were gifts for teachers and staff at E’s school. The Parents Association collects money and gifts from families and then puts together great gift bags for all the staff at school. I thought I’d try out melting hard candies in the center of cookies, and these cream cheese sugar cookies are nice and sturdy…

We receive one of these collector silver bells with the year inscribed on it each Christmas from M’s parents. We have one for each year we’ve been married starting with 2000, and as we unwrap them each December we are reminded just how long we’ve been living together, and also how many years since Y2K….

We pack these books up each year with the Christmas stuff and have fun getting them back out again and reading them by the tree lights. This one lights up, and is usually found lying open across the chest of a sleeping little girl.
