On Friday night we had a lot of fun at the Magic House, digging in sand and monkeying around in the play town. And then on post-party Sunday, the ten of us went out for breakfast at the Boathouse, and then some of us braved the paddle boats for a quick turn on the water. One boat went back quickly, but our boat decided to take a longer route. All was well until we approached the fountains and the sound of falling water triggered a pretty big urge to go in the birthday girl so we brought the boat to shore and I lifted her out and we ran the entire way back, knowing that running would get us there much quicker than paddling ever would. We made it just in the nick of time, and then the boat with Dad and Nana came around the bend. Good laughs were had by all.
We meandered around the zoo until early afternoon, then hit our favorite custard roadside stand before saying goodbye to the crowd. Later that evening we worked on a big table puzzle for awhile, and then called it an early night to sleep the sleep of the truly party pooped. But what a fabulous weekend it was…

I can’t believe how big Anna is! Wow…wasn’t she just a teeny tiny baby just yesterday?
Ella is looking more and more like you. I certain photos I see so much of you in her little face!
Glad her party went well, and YOU survived the baking/decorating/preparations!!
🙂
