If I told you that our biggest Friday Find was new trash bags, well… that would at least give you some idea of the pace of this Friday. After several years of forcing regular trash bags into our simple human trashcan, we (meaning M, because I never take out the trash) decided that the slightly more expensive, specifically designed for the trashcan trash bags were worth every extra penny for the saved frustration at this bi- or tri-weekly chore. We get those at The Container Store, and so F and I sat out this morning on a quest for more trash bags. Once there, we resisted the urge to buy new containers, and for anyone with borderline streamlined storage issues, you know the kind of mental willpower this takes. I leave that store and want to instantly come home and rearrange my clothing in my closet to represent the colors of the rainbow in classic ROY G BIV style. We perused their extensive gift wrap wonderland, but I must say, I had to go back to the classics. Give me a big fat roll of brown kraft paper at twenty-five cents a foot, and some old school red and green string, and I’m set. So we also stopped by ArtMart and replenished our kraft paper stock, and picked up our free sketch pad. (Note to local readers – sign up for ArtMart’s emails and each Friday this month – with the secret word – you can pick out a really nice sketch pad – all different sorts, watercolor paper, sketch paper, etc – for FREE!)
And then, there are some finds from last Friday – first, this holiday dress that belonged to E, and now will fit F. I loved / love this dress – maybe because I just love this age so much, and this dress seems so perfect for this age. And then a new sweater to go with a skirt from last year for E’s holiday wear. We’re sporting the blues this season, although we are anything but.
So that’s what we’ve found this Friday. F’s finding a big long afternoon nap, and I’m going to find myself at my desk with some paper and an x-acto knife. What are you finding this Friday?
