We found a few things this Friday, but not a lot of photographic proof of it, I’m afraid. One thing we did find was some glorious fall weather after a pretty rainy, drizzly week. We’ve found ourselves with a home team to root for – Go Cards!- even if they are headed to Texas today with a 1-1 score. We still made sure to find our red shoes on our feet a lot this week.
E went to see the symphony perform The Wizard of Oz, and after spending the morning at the bank shaving a few interest points off our mortgage (at least there is a little something to celebrate in this downturn – low interest rates), F and I got out of the car and onto the sidewalk. We walked over to Gus’ Pretzels and picked up some twists and a pretzel dog to drop off for E at school. We waited awhile for kids to return, but the trip was running a little long so we left our treat as a surprise in her backpack. We headed back home for a nap (for her) and some work (for me). And now I find myself with a little time before school pickup to look at photos and get organized for the weekend. Projects at work and school and home are keeping us (too) busy, but it’s always nice to find that little bit of quiet space on a sunny afternoon to refocus.
Here’s hoping you find a bit of that time as well, and if you don’t have a World Series team that you are already tied to, well, perhaps you might find yourself rooting for the Redbirds along with us.
Have a great weekend.
