Photo (and bread) credit goes to Heidi of 101 Cookbooks
Both my girls have a real love affair with my mom’s banana bread – Nana’s Banana Bread. It’s legendary in our house, and she never comes to visit without a couple of loaves (sans nuts, of course). I love it as well – especially because it makes the breakfast rush that much easier. But I still like to try new versions, and really enjoyed the roastier / saltier taste of Cooks Illustrated’s version. When I saw this photo this morning I knew what my next version would be. But what I’m really admiring is the lovely photography Heidi always has – of her food, and her life in general. If you have a moment check out the photos of this loaf of bread, and also a gorgeous weekend wedding in the same post.
