We have Muny nights on Tuesdays this summer, and those are late, late nights. So we’re opting to sleep a little longer on some of these Wednesday mornings – bypassing the garden on those days. It’s sweltering outside, so I’m not particularly upset about this change in schedule. Sweltering is fine in a swimsuit in the ocean; not as fun in work clothes at the start of the day.
Here are some shots of the exquisite flowers in the gardens where we stayed on Sanibel Island. I think of tropical flowers as being so tough and hearty, standing up to the heat and the thunderstorms and the winds. But they are delicate as well in their toughness.
lovely flowers, lovely light
