It has been rainy, cool and gray for almost a week now, but this weekend’s forecast looks stellar, and then the heat really starts to set in around here. I’m ready for it. I don’t mind the sweat.
It’s just the first season for 95% of the plants out front, but they are still blowing my mind. I can’t get over how colorful it is – and what a magnet it is. I love it, and am so glad that we did it. When I look back at where we started and think about all the labor that went into it – I don’t regret a bit of it. I can already picture it in a few years, when everything is a little more mature, and it will look and feel like it was always here. Like it was always meant to be here.
We’ve got some big ticket, long lead items ordered on the big projects out back, and those will ramp up this summer. This front garden was the confidence boost that we needed – that I needed for sure – to know that we’re capable and ready for another big thing. We make a really good team.
I’ve got some interior house updates to do, and some free time next weekend, so I’m going to set aside some time to update photos and post them here.
The yard is magnificent. Keep posting those pix!
